Heartbroken by daughter's death news, woman ends life in Kothamangalam

KOTHAMANGALAM: Heartbroken over learning about the death news of her daughter in an accident, a mother committed suicide in Kothamangalam on Tuesday. Kothamangalam native Gayatri (45) is the deceased.

Aluva UC College MBA student Sneha (Sonu - 24) was seriously injured in an accident that took place in Chirayinkeezhu just two months back. Sneha died on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

After learning about Sneha's death, Gayatri hanged herself to death at her residence in Nellikuzhi. Gayatri's husband is Hanumant Naik, a native of Sangli, Maharashtra. Naik has been an employee in a jewellery shop in Kothamangalam for the past 30 years. The mortal remains were taken to Maharashtra after post-mortem.
