THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The electricity consumption, which had increased due to the heat of summer, came down slightly on Monday. KSEB was in a crisis when the electricity consumption reached over 5500 MW. However, on Monday, peak demand fell to 5344 MW (104.85 million units). People's cooperation has helped and KSEB requested that it continue till the rains come.

The government also issued a circular yesterday with a call to reduce electricity consumption.
