KOLKATA: An artificial intelligence video showing West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mamata Banerjee is doing the rounds on social media. The video shows Mamata strutting towards a stage amidst cheers from thousands. The TMC supremo is later seen dancing to the tunes in the video which has now gone super viral. With the video getting shared across X, the Cyber Crime Division of the Kolkata Police came with a veiled threat to netizens.

The user Spitting Facts (Modi Ka Parivar) has already received a notice from Kolkata police for sharing the meme. The police also asked the user to immediately share his address or invite strict actions.

"You are directed to immediately disclose your identity, including name and residence. If the information sought is not revealed, you shall be liable for legal action u/s 42 CrPC. Cyber PS, Lalbazar, Kolkata." Said the police.

Many users have now come against the brusque police action and termed Mamata’s reign as a true ‘dictatorship’.

“Those who say there is no democracy under the BJP government in India should sometimes visit West Bengal,” said Spitting Facts (Modi Ka Parivar).

The Cyber Police Station, Kolkata has now asked the user to delete the posts and refrain from such acts in the future. Meanwhile, other users irked by the arrogant police response have decided to share widely the video with the sarcastic caption ‘Please don’t share this’.
