Attempted to sexually assault 12-year-old girl in toilet of Medical College Hospital, 24-year-old arrested

AMBALAPPUZHA: Police have arrested a youth who attempted to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl in the toilet of the Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. The arrested person has been identified as Punnappra native Arun (24). The incident took at the 11th ward at around 11 am on Monday.

The girl came to the hospital as a bystander to her mother. When the girl entered the toilet, the accused followed her and attempted to molest her. As the girl shouted for help, other bystanders rushed to the spot and apprehended the youth. Following this, the youth was taken into custody by the Aid Post police and handed over to the Ambalappuzha police.
