Sexually assaulted foreign tourist during massage; resort employee arrested

WAYANAD: Police have arrested a resort employee who sexually assaulted a foreign woman at a resort in Wayanad. Thalappuzha native EM Movin (29) was arrested by the Thirunelly police. The accused was arrested by the police team led by Thirunelly Inspector Lal C Baby.

The woman from the Netherlands had filed a complaint through email to the ADGP on June 4. The accused had gone into hiding after the police registered the case. He was taken into custody from his house today.

The incident related to the case took place at the resort in Thirunelly in December last year. The accused, an employee of the resort, sexually assaulted the woman at the massage centre of the resort. The woman had sent a mail to the ADGP on June 4 citing the incident. Following this, the district police chief directed the Thirunelly police to conduct an investigation into the complaint.
