Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meditation in Kanyakumari; political reasons behind it

meditation-

KANYAKUMARI: There are political reasons behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meditation in Kanyakumari at the end of the election campaign.

For the BJP and the Sangh Parivar, Sripada parai, where Devi Kanya Kumari is believed to have performed penance on one leg, is Vivekananda Rock, a memorial stone of Hindu victory. For BJP, Vivekananda is a saint who has won global recognition for Hinduism. Modi's meditation is also to celebrate the role of RSS behind the conversion of Vivekananda Rock as his memorial. Vivekananda had the vision of One India during his meditation here on 25th, 26th and 27th December 1892. Vivekananda left here with a vow (Kanyakumari Pledge) of self-sacrifice for serving the nation and humans.

A third victory is crucial for Modi in his quest to propel Hinduism to world leadership. If the construction of the Rama temple in Ayodhya was achieved through struggle, building the Vivekananda Center by freeing the Vivekananda Rock from encroachment, is a triumph of hard work and dedication. Vivekananda Rock was the first project announced after RSS Sarsanghchalak Guruji Golwalker took charge.

It is a project that Ekanatha Ramakrishna Ranade, who was the All India Sarkaryavah at that time, brought to success. With meditation at Vivekananda Rock, Modi is concluding the election campaign which started with prana pratishtha in Ayodhya. 45 hours of meditation is relaxation for mind and body. This is also the time to think about what to do if the government gets to rule for the third term.

There is also hope that Modi's meditation scenes at Vivekananda Rock will create a stir in Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, where the final round of election will be held today. TV channels and social media are giving massive publicity to Modi's meditation.

Connection with Kerala

Kerala also has a crucial role to play in the struggle for Vivekananda Rock. The cross erected by encroachers on the rock was destroyed by a group from Koyilandy in Kerala. NSS founder Mannath Padmanabhan was the chairman of the committee formed by Ekanatha Ranade as convener to build the Vivekananda Centre. After Ranade, it was RSS ideologue P Parameswaran who served as the president of the Vivekananda Center for a long time.
