This person will lose lakhs if Suresh Gopi takes Thrissur 

THRISSUR: The counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections is progressing. There are indications that Thrissur will be 'taken' by Suresh Gopi, just like BJP's hope. According to the figures till 11.30 am, Suresh Gopi has secured 2,26,623 votes.

Suresh Gopi is leading by 57274 votes over his opponent Sunil Kumar. Sunil Kumar got 1,83,607 votes. UDF candidate K Muraleedharan, who is in the third position, got 1,82,633 votes.

Thekkan Baiju, a Congress activist in Thrissur, fears that if Suresh Gopi wins, he may lose his car worth lakhs. His bet with BJP activist Chilli Suni went viral on social media yesterday.

The bet was that if Suresh Gopi wins the election, Baiju will give his Wagon R car to Chilli Suni, and if Muraleedharan wins, Suni's Swift car will be given to Baiju. Witnesses were also present when the bet was placed. Moreover, the video of it also went viral on social media. Suni shared the video of the bet on Facebook.

The video was shared with the caption that he and Thekkan Baiju, a Congress worker, had placed a bet on who will win in Thrissur in the Lok Sabha elections.
