NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister V Muraleedharan has slammed the High Court's remarks on the government's handling of the Hema Committee report, calling it a complete failure of the Home Department. He further criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, stating that his refusal to step down from the Home Department despite the criticism shows an immense lack of shame.

"For so long, the government has tried to hide the sexual violence and protect the accused. The decision not to file an appeal against Mukesh's bail also proves that the government is with the predators. The High Court has exposed the true face of the CPM, which is running with women's wall and women's protection mouthpieces. Don't pretend that the party is above the rules.
