Woman breaks middle-aged man's nose for assaulting daughter inside bus; offers explanation

ENATHU: A woman on Saturday came with an explanation for beating up a middle-aged man who she alleged to have assaulted her daughter. According to the mother, the man sexually assaulted her 17-year-old daughter which left her with no option but to smash his face.

In the case, Enathu police arrested Mundapally native Radhakrishna Pillai (59) of Puthenveetil house. The incident took place in Nellimukal junction on Friday at 5 pm.

As per the mother:

'The man was engaged in sexual innuendos with her daughter inside the bus. While the vehicle got to the destination, the mother questioned his unscrupulous conduct which led to a bitter altercation. During the talks, the man tried to attack the duo which led to the mother slapping his face.

Inside the bus, Radhakrishna Pillai caressed the girl’s feet which which came to the notice of others. When countered with this, Pillai hurled abuse and expletives at the mother and the daughter. It is reported that the accused was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.'

According to the report. Pillai has suffered a broken nose. It is reported that the girl's mother came to the spot on learning that the accused had molested her daughter on the bus. A case has also been registered against the child's mother for assaulting the accused.
