Northern districts to receive rain till Thursday; yellow alert in three districts today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state will receive isolated rain for the coming three days. Rain is likely over central-northern districts and hilly areas of southern districts. Monsoon winds are currently weak but are expected to strengthen by the end of next week. A yellow alert has been sounded in Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts on Sunday. Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea due to bad weather. People living in coastal areas have been asked to exercise caution as there is a possibility of storm surge.
