Got married saying 32 years but sonography report showed 40; husband files cheating case against wife and family

AHMEDABAD: Husband who thought that he was married to a 32-year-old woman, came to know that his wife was over 40 years old when he went for a check-up after not having children. Following this, he filed a police complaint against his wife and her family for cheating. The complaint was filed by a 34-year-old from Sarkhej, Gujarat. According to the complaint, the woman tampered with birth records.
An FIR was registered against eight persons, including the wife, father-in-law and relatives, under various sections related to breach of trust, forgery, fraud, criminal conspiracy and intimidation.

The husband told the police that he met the woman in May last year. 'Her birth certificates show 18th May 1991. It was said that there is an age difference of 18 months. Her family announced that the marriage will take place on June 19, 2023 in a village in Palanpur. Despite repeated requests, proof of age and education was not given. Copies of school certificate and passport were given on the day of marriage. Original papers were not shown'.
"She did not conceive after months. Without informing me or my relatives, my wife and sister-in-law went to see a doctor in Juhapura. I was not told what the report was. We saw a Gynecologist in Paldi last September. The sonography report showed signs of age of 40 to 42 years. Gynecologist said that she could not get pregnant naturally," says the complaint.

When asked for original documents for marriage registration and banking purposes, they were not provided. Now they have admitted the fraud and apologized.

The complainant says that after marriage, the husband used to visit his wife's house regularly and used to give her valuables.
