'Wanted to marry her but...'; little-known tale of Ratan Tata's first love

MUMBAI: Business magnate Ratan Tata completed his full circle of life as a disarming bachelor. But during his tender age, Ratan Tata was far from nurturing his business acumen but was caught in love, alike many of the youngsters of his age.

People would be craving to crane their neck into Tata’s personal life, but most of it remains shrouded. Ratan Tata once shed light on his bachelor life but slowly slipped into revealing his hitherto unknown love life.

Tata fell in love with a woman while working in Los Angeles and it even reached to a situvation of marriage. It soon stuck a roadblock after Tata had to immediately fly down to India to be with his ailing grandmother. Although Ratan thought that his partner to India, her parents denied the prospect citing the 1962 India-China war. It was curtains to the relationship. But till now, the business magnate hasn’t revealed the identity of his love interest.

Ratan Tata was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing a sudden drop in blood pressure levels on Monday.

On October 7th, Ratan Tata dismissed rumours of his ‘grave health concern’ on his social media page, saying he was stable and visited the hospital only as part of his routine checkup.

Ratan Tata was a businessman honoured by the country with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.
