NEW DELHI: Delhi police have arrested a man following a poster glorifying Pakistan inside his home in the Rohini area. The incident came to light when a video circulating on social media showed the controversial poster displayed in his flat, sparking significant discussion among residents.

Authorities confirmed that a complaint was lodged by neighbours regarding the poster's content, which they found objectionable. Police investigations revealed that the resident, who lives alone in the Avanthika C Sector flat, is reportedly not in good mental health.

The police are currently probing whether the individual has any connections to Pakistan and they have also questioned his relatives as part of the investigation. Officials have seized the poster and associated banners from the residence.

This incident has emerged against a backdrop of rising tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly following a recent attack on Indian soldiers. Just days prior, an Indian soldier was martyred during an assault by Pakistani commandos and terrorists on the Kargil victory anniversary. The attack occurred along the Line of Control in the Machil sector of Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to four soldiers, including a major. Indian forces successfully killed one Pakistani infiltrator during the encounter, recovering his rifle and dagger. Two terrorists managed to escape into Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
