KALPETTA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Wayanad tomorrow. He will visit areas such as Mundakkai and Chooralmala which have been hit by landslides. He will arrive at Kannur airport tomorrow morning at 11.20 am on Air India One flight. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will receive the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Union Minister Suresh Gopi
From the airport, Narendra Modi will go to the disaster-affected area in an Air Force helicopter. He will also visit relief camps. A review meeting will be held later. Prime Minister will visit the disaster-affected area for three hours.
Meanwhile, Wayanad District Collector DR Meghashree informed that there will be no search in disaster-affected areas such as Mundakkai and Chooralmala tomorrow, in connection with the Prime Minister's visit. Volunteers and others involved in the search will not be allowed to enter the disaster-affected areas due to strict restrictions in the district. The District Collector informed that the search will resume on Sunday. Meanwhile, Minister PA Muhammad Riyas informed that the Centre has been requested to include the Wayanad disaster in the L3 category. The minister also stated that the state has requested Rs 2000 crore from the Center for reconstruction in disaster areas.
