Woman found dead in Kasaragod; husband at large

KASARAGOD: A woman was found dead inside her house in Kasaragod Bovikanam on Thursday. Alima (35), wife of PA Jaffer, died in the incident. According to the police, Jaffer went on the run after the incident.

Alima’s relatives have expressed suspicion over the death. It was reported that Jaffer used to beat his wife often over quarrels regarding dowry. Last night, the two quarrelled again over the same issue. Later, Alima was found dead in the bathroom. According to reports, the body had bruises all over indicating torture.

Alima was rushed to a hospital but her life could not be saved. Alima leaves behind her children Nazia, Amna, Safna, Shifana, and Safana.
