NEW DELHI: The central government, which placed a restriction on Union Minister Suresh Gopi's film acting, has assigned more responsibilities to the minister. He has been directed to remain in Delhi three days a week.
Suresh Gopi has been given charge of the roster for four days a week during Parliament's winter session, scheduled from November 25 to December 20. If the concerned Union Minister is not present in the House, the Minister holding the roster charge shall respond to the questions. Suresh Gopi will lead the Indian delegation at the G7 Tourism Ministers' Meeting in Florence, Italy, from November 13 to 15. He has also been directed to be more active in Waqf matters in Kerala.
Suresh Gopi was assigned additional responsibilities after his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah told Suresh Gopi that he should do only 1 film in a year. However, Suresh Gopi has already committed to acting in 22 films.
