Ponnamma D.C. passes away

KOTTAYAM: Ponnamma D.C. (90), wife of the late D.C. Kizhakemuri and former Managing Partner who led the operations of D.C. Books for over two decades, has passed away. She was a former teacher at Balika Madam School in Thiruvalla. She had close friendships with early literary figures such as Thakazhi, Basheer, and C.J. Thomas. Children: Ravi D.C. (D.C. Books), Thara, Meera.

The body will be kept for public viewing at the residence in Devalokam, Kottayam from 10 a.m. on Saturday. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Lourdes Forane Church.
