Wild elephant kills two rubber tapping workers

THRISSUR: A wild elephant attacked rubber tapping workers in Palappilly. The elephant trampled two workers to death. The dead have been identified as Zainuddin (50) and Peethambaran (56), employees of Harrisons Malayalam Estate.

The attacks by the elephant were seen at Kundai and Elikodu in Palappilly. The two were attacked near the Chimney Wildlife Sanctuary. Locals staged a huge protest over the incident.
