Land dispute: Man brutally beaten by four women

MARAYOOR: A young man was brutally beaten by four women following a land dispute between neighbors. Marayoor native Mohanraj (38) suffered a head injury in the incident. A case of attempted murder was registered against Pallanad natives Jamuna (42), Vrinda (40), Jayarani (42) and Shailaja (38) after a video footage of the incident surfaced online. The incident took place on Friday.

There is a case in the Devikulam court regarding the boundary dispute over the land of Mohanraj's relative. It is learnt that the women attacked Mohanraj for helping his relative to file a complaint. The attack took place as the court-appointed commission was about to reach the spot in connection with the case. Mohanraj is currently undergoing treatment at Adimali Taluk Hospital. The four women have gone hiding.
