Wall collapses on top of house in Thiruvananthapuram; five including 22-day-old baby rescued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A compound wall collapsed on a neighbouring house in Thiruvananthapuram. Firefighters rescued five people, including a 22-day-old baby. The incident took place at 12.45 am in Mudavanmugal.

The wall of the neighbouring house collapsed on top of the small four-room house rented by a man named Unnikrishnan. The fire force team rescued Unnikrishnan (26), Leela (80), Binu (35), Sandhya (23), Jitin (4) and a 22-day-old baby.

A team led by Station Officer ST Sajith and Nitin Raj from Thiruvananthapuram station and a team from Chacka station carried out the rescue operation.
