THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Children are back to schools after a gap of twenty months. All the schools in the state opened today. This is a historic day in the field of public education in Kerala, said Minister V Sivankutty. The children will be provided security in schools as their mothers take care of them, the minister said.
The concern of the parents will change within days of the opening of schools. The government is taking all the responsibility, the minister said while talking to the media. He said a review meeting would be held in a week.
Classes from one to seven, tenth and plus two classes are starting today. Education Minister will inaugurate the state level Pravesanolsavam at the Cotton Hill School in the capital city. There are nearly 42 lakh students in 15,452 schools. Of that, more than ten lakh students will reach schools today.
Only two children each are allowed to sit in a bench. Should maintain a distance of two metre while having food. Only teachers who have taken two doses of the vaccine are permitted to come to school. A total of 2282 teachers have to take vaccine.
