KSRTC employees strike begins, long route services to be disrupted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The strike called by the KSRTC employees in protest against the non-implementation of the pay revision, started Friday morning. The pro-Left union and the BMS will strike on Friday and the pro-Congress union for 48 hours till Saturday night. The talks held between Minister Antony Raju and union leaders convened the other day had failed.

The bus service may be disrupted completely as the left, right and BMS unions have jointly called for a strike. However, the government has announced dies non to face the strike. The wages of those who do not appear for work will be deducted from their salaries.
