THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The strict restrictions imposed based on the surge in Covid cases, has been implemented to more districts. Four more districts have been included in ‘C’ category. Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki have been freshly included in the ‘C’ category. The decision was taken at the Covid review meet chaired by the chief minister following the directive of the health department.
Thiruvananthapuram was earlier included in ‘C’ category and it will continue. No social, cultural, religious, political, community, political or public events will be allowed in ‘C’ category.
Religious worship should be conducted online only. Only a maximum of 20 will be allowed for weddings and deaths. Film theatres, swimming pools and gyms will remain closed. All classes (including tuition centres) except undergraduate and postgraduate final year classes, tenth and twelfth classes, are allowed online only.
