Muslim organizations express concern on Waqf appointment, CM calls meet

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called a meet of Muslim organizations. The chief minister called the meet when the Kerala Government was moving ahead with the decision to leave Waqf appointments to the Public Service Commission (PSC). The organizations had earlier expressed dissatisfaction with the decision to leave the Waqf appointments to the PSC.

Minister V Abdurahman had informed in the assembly that the government will hold talks with the organizations on the issue. It is in this situation; the meeting is being convened by the chief minister. The meeting will be held on April 20th in Thiruvananthapuram.
