Actress Divya Unni stopped acting while she was shining in Malayalam cinema. Even though many years have passed, the Malayalis have not forgotten Divya. The actor too fondly remembers the love showered upon her by the Malayali audience. Divya said that she was ready to return to cinema if a good character comes along. From the interview given to Kaumudi Movies ...

"I never left the connection with cinema. I watch all the new movies. I had heard some stories. For some reason, things did not work out. There were also some date issues. I had to give up some films due to my busy schedule and responsibilities. Hope things will fall into place when the time is right," Divya said.

"When I was active in cinema, I never read the scripts and chose films. I just heard the one line story of the film. I did most of my films with senior directors like IV Sasi sir, Bharathan sir, Sibi sir and Shaji Kailas sir. I never felt like asking them the script. All of them gave me good characters. I was able to do well because of their guidance," she said.

"My character in the film 'Ustad' is still in the minds of the audience. It was a good character. That bond is so beautiful. People still talk to me about that character on social media as well," Divya added.
