'Conspiracy to defame him, actress' complaint is fake, a group of filmmakers are behind this', alleges Vijay Babu's mother

KOCHI: Vijay Babu's mother Maya Babu said that the sexual assault complaint against Vijay Babu is fake. Maya Babu alleged that the actress had lodged a false complaint against her son and that a group of filmmakers based in Ernakulam were behind it. She has lodged a complaint with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the DGP seeking an inquiry into the complaint against her son.

According to the complaint, allegation against her son is part of a conspiracy meant to defame him. Meanwhile, the Kochi City Police is trying to arrest Vijay Babu who is in UAE. As part of this, the Blue Corner notice was issued by Interpol yesterday. Kochi court had issued an arrest warrant against Vijay Babu on Friday. The arrest warrant has been handed over to the UAE police.

The actress had alleged that Vijay Babu had brutally raped her at his flat and luxury hotel in Kochi for over a month from March 13. Vijay Babu went abroad on April 22 after the Ernakulam South police registered a case against him following the actress' statement. The case against Vijay Babu has been framed under various sections including rape and assault.
