THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has rejected the draft report of the Motor Vehicles Department which suggested that Kerala should have a road, rail and water transport system similar to cities Paris, Hong Kong, Seoul and London.

According to the Central Motor Vehicle Amendment 2019, the states should formulate a comprehensive transport policy. Accordingly, the government has not formulated a transport policy. Motor Vehicles department says the report was prepared as part of that. The report was denied stating that it was prepared without the permission of the government.

The report was prepared by officials led by additional Transport commissioner PS Pramod Sankar while MR Ajith Kumar was the Transport commissioner.
