Dispute between Binoy and Bihari woman amid reconciliation efforts, case postponed

MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court postponed considering the plea of Binoy Kodiyeri and the complainant, a woman from Bihar, seeking a settlement on the sexual abuse case. The case was postponed as Binoy’s lawyer did not appear in the court yesterday.

When the case was considered earlier, the court had asked Binoy and the complainant whether they were married. The lady said ‘yes’ and Binoy said ‘no’. Neither of them had a clear answer when asked about the child’s future. Following that, the court asked them to submit an accurate reply.

It is hinted that the lawyer failed to appear in the court as he could not prepare an accurate answer soon following a dispute between the two over their marriage. The woman lodged a complaint at the Oshiwara police station on June 13 in 2019 alleging that Binoy had sexually abused her in the pretext of marriage and that she has a child from that relationship.
