Mohanlal's family driver of 28 years; Mohanan Nair, man before Antony Perumbavoor

BALARAMAPURAM: 82-year old Mohanan Nair's face lights up whenever he hear the name Mohanlal. Pallichal native Mohanan Nair worked as a driver for Mohanlal's family for 28 years. First, he was the driver of Lal's father Vishwanathan Nair and later became part of Lal's film journeys.

Mohanan Nair drove Lal back and forth to home and film sets. He reminisces about the time spent with Mohanlal and shared an incident when the actor tiredly fell asleep on his lap. It was Nair who took Lal to learn Kalari at Pallichal. He also recollects the incident when Lal's friends M G Sreekumar, Priyadarshan and Jagadish visited his house.

It was Nair who introduced Antony Perumbavoor to Mohanlal. Due to health issues he had to leave the job and Antony took over. He handed over the keys to Antony with a heavy heart as he was so sad to leave Mohanlal. Although, the shooting of film 'Lucifer' took place near his house, he couldn't go. Nair hopes that the actor would come to see him.
