THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Wednesday responded to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's 'crutches' remark against Congress. "Neither the Congress nor the UDF want the CM's crutch. It was given by the BJP government", VD Satheesan said. The Chief Minister's remark was that the LDF does not have a crutch for Congress in order to make them stand upright.
VD Satheesan also criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the SilverLine. "The Chief Minister has changed his stance on the SilverLine. What was the land acquisition for? UDF will not allow SilverLine to be implemented in Kerala under any circumstances. The government has shown unnecessary haste with the aim of corruption", he said.
Satheesan asked why Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was upset regarding the expansion of UDF's popular base. "Why is the Chief Minister making fun of people who are trying to move forward after correcting their mistakes? It is surprising that the Chief Minister did not even feel comfortable asking about the abuse of power by KT Jaleel. The Chief Minister has not yet rejected Jaleel's public insult of the Lokayukta. It is becoming clear that Jaleel spoke against the Lokayukta with the permission of the Chief Minister. Their actions are not fundamental to the far right. Modi administration is taking extreme right-wing measures. CPM and Kerala government are going after this. K Rail is an example of this", Satheesan added.
The opposiiton leader was speaking to the media in a press conference.
