NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has initiated action on the complaint received against MLA K T Jaleel, who made the controversial remarks on Facebook after his visit to Kashmir. The police forwarded the complaint to the cybercrime department and sought legal advice to investigate the issue.
Advocate G S Mani, a BJP activist, had filed a complaint against Jaleel at Delhi Tilak Marg police station. As no further action was taken on this complaint, Mani lodged a complaint with the DCP. Following this, the police initiated action. It is indicated that a case will be registered against Jaleel only after seeking legal advice and a preliminary investigation. Even though Jaleel had informed to withdraw the controversial post, there are complaints against Jaleel in Kerala and Delhi. RSS leader Arun Mohan had approached the Thiruvalla court after no action was taken on his complaint to the police. The case will be considered on August 23.
