India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani enters bid to takeover English Premier League club Liverpool

kk

LONDON: It is reported that Mukesh Ambani, the eighth richest man in the world and the richest man in India, is about to acquire the English Premier League football club ‘Liverpool’. As per reports, some American companies and Gulf companies are already in the race to buy the six-time UEFA Champions League title winning team.

Some international media claims that Mukesh Ambani has enquired about acquiring ownership of the club. Earlier this month it was reported that Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), had put the club up for sale. The US-based company has put the team up for sale for around £4 billion (Rs 38,118 crore).

According to sources, the English team is more likely to be owned by Ambani as the amount offered by others including the American company is very low. Ambani also owns the IPL team Mumbai Indians.
