Assembly session from Dec 5 onwards; will introduce bill to remove governor’s chancellor post 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet convened here Wednesday decided to recommend the governor to convene the assembly session from December 5 onwards. The meeting also decided to introduce a bill to remove the post of Chancellor of the Governor. The urgent ordinance to remove the governor from the post of chancellor has become irrelevant after decided to convene the assembly session. Instead, the government will introduce a bill in the assembly.

The ordinance to remove the governor from the post of chancellor was approved in the last cabinet meet. However, the Governor has not approved this yet. The ordinance was sent to the Raj Bhavan, but the Governor had gone to Delhi before that. He will return only on November 20.
