KASARGOD: C K Sreedharan, former vice president of KPCC and popular criminal lawyer, said that he will file a defamation case against K Sudhakaran. The complaint is filed in the name of his speech at Chittarikkal in Kasaragod. Sudhakaran had stated that P Mohanan was spared in T P Chandrasekharan murder case because of Sreedharan's ties with the CPM.
Sreedharan while talking to a private channel said, ‘As the then special prosecutor he had appealed against the order acquitting Mohanan Master, the accused in the case. The KPCC chief should remember that. K Sudhakaran’s speech questioned his personality in the public meeting. That was extremely defamatory and untrue. Criminal and civil action will be taken against him. A notice will be sent tomorrow itself.’
Sreedharan joined the CPM two days ago after leaving his four-and-a-half-decade ties with the Congress. There were reports that Sreedharan left the party due to his exclusion in the Congress reorganization and his differences with K Sudhakaran.
