THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch, which filed a case in the letter controversy, is likely to record the statement of Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran once again today.
The Crime Branch officials will conduct the investigation with technical assistance considering the possibility of the destruction of evidence due to the passage of days. They will also inspect the computers in the offices of the mayor, secretary and the standing committee chairman.
A list will be prepared and the suspects will be interrogated. Social media on which the letter appeared, chats and phone calls will also be checked. The crime branch officers will collect the original signature of the mayor and the signature (specimen) recorded in the absence of the mayor. The model of the mayor's letter pad and the model of the received letter will be compared using special software.
