NEW DELHI: The Delhi police arrested a male nurse who fled to India after murdering a woman in Australia four years back. Rajwinder Singh (38) of Punjab had in October 2018 killed the 24-year-old Australian woman Toyah Cordingley at a beach in Queensland. After the murder, he fled to India leaving his wife and three children in Australia. Singh was a nursing assistant in Innisfail Town in Australia. Toyah, a pharmacy employee was killed when she was walking her dog.
The Queensland Police had offered a reward of one million Australian dollars, the largest ever offered by the department, for information leading to his arrest. The Australian government had requested India to help them in nabbing him. The center approved their demand this month. The Delhi police nabbed him after that.
