NEW DELHI: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Wednesday said that he will decide on signing the bill to remove him from the position of Chancellor after the bill comes in front of him. The Governor, who pointed out that the information in the bill was in the concurrent list, added that the state government needs central approval if it wants to bring a change to it. He said that he would not hesitate to sign the bill if there is central approval.

The Governor also welcomed the state government's move to appoint Mallika Sarabhai as Kalamandalam Chancellor. "Mallika Sarabhai is qualified. I wish she will be able to work independently," he said.
