Suspicion led to murder, Sajeevan killed his wife during the day and buried body at night; more information comes out in Njarackal murder

KOCHI: More details have come out in connection with the incident in which a man killed his wife and buried her body on the house premise. The arrested Sajeevan told the police that his suspicion about his wife led to the murder. Sajeevan committed the murder on August 16, 2021. He strangled his wife Ramya to death during the day and buried her body in the night. According to the statement given by Sajeevan, he strangled Ramya using a rope.

Ramya had gone missing a year and a half ago. Ramya's family had lodged a complaint with the police stating that Ramya had been missing since August 17, 2021.

Following the human sacrifice case, the police had collected information about the missing women and intensified their investigation. The information about the shocking murder came to light during the subsequent investigation.

Ramya and Sajeevan were living on rent in Edavanakkad. When locals and neighbors asked about Ramya, Sajeevan used to say that she was out for work.
