Alarm bells ring in Dhoni again; new elephant enters village, destroys farm

wild-elephant-in-palakkad

PALAKKAD: After a week of breathtaking work that saw the rogue elephant PT 7 (which got rechristened later as Dhoni) in chains, another wild elephant has made it into the human habitat in the same village of Dhoni. The elephant was seen roaming near the Arimani estate at 7:30 at night. The giant one destroyed the neighboring farm areas.

The farm areas belonged to a man named Padmanabhan. The people of Dhoni were rejoicing yesterday over the long-yearned capture of rogue PT 7. But when they thought that normalcy has returned, the sudden appearance of another giant elephant out of nowhere instilled back the same panic that the residents lived during the PT 7 times.
