MUMBAI: The Indian team for the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup, scheduled to be held in September and October this year, has been announced. Senior player Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, while star batter Smriti Mandhana has been named vice-captain. The squad was announced by the selection committee headed by Neetu David.

Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Renuka Singh Thakur, Arundhati Reddy, Richa Ghosh (Wicketkeeper), Kranti Gaud, Amanjot Kaur, Radha Yadav, Shri Charani, Yastika Bhatia, Sneh Rana.
Notably, no Malayali players were included in the squad. Earlier, Malayali players like Minnu Mani, Asha Shobhana and Sajana Sajeevan were part of the T20I World Cup squad.
Meanwhile, the Greenfield Stadium (Sports Hub) in Thiruvananthapuram has been chosen as one of the venues for the World Cup. Earlier, the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru was selected, but due to security concerns, the Karnataka government denied permission. As a result, the venue was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram.
