'Wife of one person attempted suicide, people should know truth'; Akhil Marar against Revathy Sampath

Bigg Boss winner Akhil Marar on Monday strongly criticized actress Revathy Sampath, who alleged sexual misconduct charges against actor Siddique. According to Marar, Revathy Sampath was expelled from China for filming a nude video of her classmate while studying MBBS, and she is also known for interrupting the shooting of another film.

“These people should understand that the male being accused of such charges also has family and a life.

Revathy Sampath alleged sexual misconduct from actor Siddique. This led me to actor Shiju and I called him for more details. You know why I contacted him. In 2021, the same Revathy Sampath raised allegations against Shiju and I wanted to know the truth behind all this.

99% of people in Kerala believe that a woman has been physically abused by a man when the media brings up such news. It is my request to the media to report facts rather than ruin lives with such vile headlines and captions.

Back in 2021, Revathy listed out the names of 14 people that she alleged to have assaulted her. And for the next three days she kept quiet without caring to talk about the matter. However, in these three days, many other things happened. The wife of one among the 14, attempted suicide. Even Shiju had to undergo torturous days within his family. After three days, she came up with a clarification saying that she was not sexually assaulted. However, the damage was already done.

A small movie was undergoing filming in Bhubaneswar. The director was Rajesh Touchriver. Only Hindi actor Kulkarni was allotted a three-star hotel for stay. Revathy who was there to play the role of a police officer started a conundrum demanding a three-star hotel for accommodation. Shiju being a senior actor tried to talk things out but Revathy went against him in public. She asked him to mind his own business. This turned the talks worse and Shiju yelled ‘Get Out’ at Revathy and also used an expletive. This was the reason behind the ‘sexual assault’ allegation.

Director Rajesh Touchriver is known for using obscene words when angry. So it is no surprise that he also got into her list. One day, while Shiju was walking through the set, he saw Revathy crying but didn’t react. That was his second crime.

Media savors for such glossy news and they care less to do some fact check into the allegations. At least they should have the ethics to let people know both sides of the story. Consider the irony of an actress kicked out of college for photographing her classmate's nudes coming up with sexual assault allegations. The wife of a youngster tried suicide only because of her mere allegations.

Let the law take its course. The government should also be ready to accept that complaint, while the media should not forget their duty. Men are human too.
