NEW DELHI: A passenger shared his ordeal while travelling in the business class of Air India. Vineeth wrote on X about his bad experience while traveling from Delhi to Newark.
Vineeth said that the journey was like a nightmare. His post said that the food he got was uncooked and the seat had a dirty cover. Vineeth also mentioned that he had to spend around Rs 5 lakh for this trip.
'Have been traveling on Emirates flights for a few years now. However, it was decided to travel on Air India because of its direct flights. My trip yesterday was like a nightmare. Business class was booked for the official trip. The seats were not very clean and worn out. '
The flight took off 25 minutes late. I couldn't turn my seat into a flatbed when I tried to sleep. Later was shifted to another seat. After a while they gave me uncooked and stale food. There was a TV but it was not working,' mentioned in X.
The passenger also said that he chose Air India because of its direct service despite the presence of Etihad Airlines at low fares. Vineeth also shared the screenshot of the response received from the Air India along with pictures of the seats and food. Below this post, many people had shared their bad experience.
Meanwhile, picture of the metal blade found in the food on Air India flight from Bangalore to San Francisco are circulating on social media. He wrote on X that he saw it when he was chewing food. What would have happened if a child had eaten this food? The passenger also noted that the image of Air India itself has been tarnished by this incident.
Air India apologized for the incident. Air India officials said that it was a problem from the catering partner's side and the blade fell into the food due to a malfunction in the vegetable cutting machine.
