
BHUBANESWAR: A small plane belonging to a private company crashed in Odisha, seriously injuring passengers. There were six people on board, including four passengers. The accident took place at 1:30 pm today. The nine-seater plane was en route from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar. The regional carrier India One Air's Caravan 208 aircraft lost control and hit a tree and crashed into an open area. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau will examine the incident. The injured have been shifted to the hospital.
Odisha Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena has reacted to the accident. He said that the accident took place in Jalda, around eight nautical miles short of Rourkela. The minister said that the state government has informed the Director General of Civil Aviation about the situation.
