CHENNAI: A snack catcher was strangled to death by a python wrapping around his neck. The incident happened on Tuesday morning while the snake catcher entered into a well to catch the python that fell inside. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Kaveripattanam native J Natarajan. He fell inside the well along with the snake, he tried to escape but was strangled to death by the snake.
Eyewitnesses states that even though he fell into the water, he could not escape from the snake. The Fire Force tried hard to get Natarajan out, but he died. But the snake could not be found. A week ago, the snake was found in the 50 feet deep well of farmer Chinnaswamy. Natarajan was approached to take the snake out when the well got filled due to heavy rain. Natarajan went down to the well with a rope and took the snake, but it soon wrapped around his body and neck.
