KOLLAM: A case has been registered against four people for barging into the house of Kiran Kumar, the accused in the sensational Vismaya dowry death case, and attacking him. The Sooranad police have registered a case against four known people under various sections. The incident happened last night. The youths came to Kiran's house in Sasthamkotta and unleashed violence.

The youths talked provocatively about Vismaya's death, hit the barrels in front of his house and challenged Kiran to come out. When he came out of his house, they assaulted him, knocked him down and then fled after snatching his mobile phone. Youths used to come in front of his house on bikes and challenge him. Police said that an investigation is underway and that the incident is not related to Vismaya case.

Vismaya was found hanging in the toilet next to the bedroom in the house of Kiran Kumar, who was an assistant motor vehicle inspector, in Sasthamcotta. Her WhatsApp messages and pictures sent to her classmate and sister-in-law had surfaced. After taking Vismaya to the hospital, Kiran Kumar, who went into hiding, surrendered at the Sasthamkotta station. Kiran was later dismissed from service.
