KOZHIKODE: CPM has criticised the police in the medical college attack case. CPM district secretary P Mohanan said that the party does not justify the attack in the medical college and seeks legal action. 'Kerala police force is a good model. But some officers are unable to understand the government policy', criticised P Mohanan. He said that the police are threatening innocent people in the incident and the police commissioner's unnecessary involvement in the case is part of the conspiracy.

Except for two of those involved in the medical college incident, the rest of the accused surrendered the next day. P Mohanan alleged that the police went to the house of a retired medical college doctor and threatened him that if the accused's pregnant wife gave birth, the baby won't see the father. 'The accused in the case are being treated like traitors or terrorists by the police', alleged the secretary. He criticized that no accused has been kept in hiding by CPM or DYFI and some officials have become pawns of political opponents.
