Kerala records 4741 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 28 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 4741 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 4382 persons developed the disease through contact, including 315 cases without an identified source of infection. 8 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 36 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

5144 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 48,501 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 28 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 39,679.

Ernakulam 797, Thiruvananthapuram 786, Thrissur 509, Kozhikode 506, Kollam 380, Kottayam 357, Kannur 287, Malappuram 207, Palakkad 198, Idukki 172, Pathanamthitta 164, Alappuzha 152, Wayanad 131, Kasaragod 95.
