IDUKKI: A man, accused of killing his wife, was found hanging in Upputhara. Malayakkavil Subin (Ratheesh 43), a native of Mathaipara MC Kavala, was found dead today. His wife, Rajani, was found dead inside the house last Tuesday.

Rajani’s body was lying face down on the bed inside the house. She died from a blow to the head. The police were searching for Subin on suspicion that he was behind the murder. Subin was an auto rickshaw driver.

Disputes were common between Subin and Rajini. Even the police had to intervene to end their disputes several times. It was only a month ago that the two of them started living together again after solving all issues.

On Tuesday, when the couple's younger son came home from school, he found Rajani lying motionless. The son immediately informed the panchayat member Biju Cheblavan about the incident. The police were then alerted. The police conducted an examination and found that Rajani had died of head injuries. Subin and Rajani have three children. The eldest daughter, Revathi, is a degree student, the second son, Rathin, is a Plus Two student, and the youngest son, Rajiv, is a Class 10 student.
