NEET exam issue: Police yet to arrest main accused

KOLLAM: The police are yet to arrest the main accused in the incident in which girls who came to attend NEET exam were forced to remove undergarments in Marthoma College, Ayoor.

Preji Kurian, NEET Exam coordinator and HOD of Mass Communication department and NTA agency invigilator Dr Shamsad were questioned by Chadayamangalam police and were released later. Now the arrested includes three daily wage employees of private agency and two sweepers of the college. The allegation that the police were trying to limit the case with the five accused have been strengthened.

Another girl from Sooranadu also lodged a complaint in the incident. The arrested woman said that an intermediary from Star agency gave them the instructions. The police are yet to include Exam Co-ordinator as the accused. It is alleged that the police are trying to help the higher officials get away in the case.
