THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state school managements don’t agree with the opening of primary classes in the first phase. They said it will not be easy to make small children sit in schools adhering to Covid norms.

A decision in connection with the offline classes in other classes can only be made after evaluating how the tenth and twelfth classes are going. The managements demanded to allow them to decide the way in starting classes after considering the limitations and possibilities of each school.

Meantime, a joint meeting of the health and education departments will be convened on Thursday in connection with the reopening of schools. Ministers and top officials of both the departments will attend the meet. The meeting will formulate the general norms at the state level. A decision will also be made on the distribution of masks, vehicle facilities and shift arrangements.
